ANOTHER set of STITCHES!! Ben had a argument with the miter saw and I think it was a draw. haha :) I'm so glad that Ben had the presence of mind to stop cutting when he did. God blessed him with "just" the skin over his left pinky knuckle being cut open. The ER doc showed us how close he was to cutting the tendon and called Ben lucky, but we know better. Thank you, Beth, for coming over in two minutes flat to stay with the kids while Ben and I ran to the ER!! Ben got three stitches to close it up and a nice finger splint as a souvenir. I'm hoping that five bouts of stitches are enough for this family....

Ouchie wa-wa! Doesn't he know you're supposed to keep your hands AWAY from the blade?! :) I'm so glad that things turned out the way they did... life just wouldn't be the same without a pinky finger.
Congrats on keeping that finger...and I also have to note that the t-shirt is a collector's item.
Ben, Umm, Cara must have known you for a long time and knows that you become very emotionally attached to your clothing. And Yeah, I think that is a college T-shirt, isn't it? And I mean UNDER grad college days, right?
Actually, I now use that t-shirt for doing weekend warrior work. It has lots of different color paint splotches on it, probably some oil stains, and now a bit of blood.
I occasionally wonder if Chris is still working with a band.
