When I looked out my front window tonight this is what I saw.... I tell Madelyn to look with me and am laughing a little until I see the tail MOVE! Then I started wondering. So did these men in the tow truck that was driving by...
Turns out that our neighbor, Dave, was playing a GREAT practical joke with a $4 garage sale find. He tied fishing line to the tail and rigged it over a branch to make it "wag". We live on a pretty busy street and it was great (and funny) to see all the cars that would slow down to make sure they understood what they were seeing! Great job on a great practical joke, Dave!
Excuse my not clear pictures... I don't know how to take low-light pictures.

This is too funny! Well done by the neighbor! :)
I just stumbled upon your blog and love your postings! I'll definitely be back. :)
That is so FUNNY....In your pictures it looks so real. I had to read, because I thought "Lord they must live by the zoo".
HOLY COW!! That was hilarious! I wish that had happened two weeks ago. I would have figured out a way to do it for Ben's birthday. How great that would be perched on our Taurus! Stellar!!!
Great Joke! I remember once going outside my front door and seeing a large iguana. I figured some neighbor kids had left their toy outside. Then it moved! Scared me to death.
Turned out my neighbor's iguana had escaped.
Hilarious! I sooo wish I could have seen that in person.
And, as far as the low light pics are concerned, you can either adjust the ISO or the shutter speed. ISO lets lots of light in, even with a fast shutter, but you lose quality. Slow shutters require a steady hand... I'm no good at those!!
My heart skipped a beat when I first saw your pictures. That is HILARIOUS!! I want to borrow your neighbor! I love how faithful you are at keeping your blog updated. I wish I could get to mine once a month rather than every few months.
