"do siets"

Madelyn's to-do list:

Note the first item on the list - "do sients" (which is beginner writing for "do science")

The kids have received a couple of science kits for Christmas (2 from each set of grandparents!). Before we get into the "real" experiments, I introduced them to each of the tools (Greyson, meet the eyedropper and googles) and set them loose to play with the tools so they can get to use to them. They have loved it! While using their tools, they have experimented with hot and cold water and predicted whether items will float or not. And this is without any direction! I'm so happy to see children excited about "doing science"!  The first experiment is coming soon - mixing colors.  It makes me think we should put on kitten costumes and pretend we are Color Kittens.

Hey, wait a minute! She still needs her nale palesh done, and you are already blogging about sients? ;-)

Sients is STILL a big favorite around here! SO fun! Love that they are experimenting on their own.

This is great. I tried to focus in on Madelyn's list to see if there were any suggestions on how to spend my day. Playing in the snow - not possible here, taking a nap - can do, probably will do, clean my bag - need to, will do, do nail polish - need to, probably won't! There was another item on the list that I couldn't quite make out, but I noticed it was one that she had checked off.

As for the "Color Kittens", I'd love to see y'all put on kitten costumes, especially you and Ben. Put that on your "to do" list and then do it and blog about it with pictures. Ha,ha Your kids are adorable. I love you all, Aunt Lou

Hey Aunt Lou! The one you couldn't make out is a Rhodes' house phrase fir Madelyn - "do my 4". This is what we say to her for getting ready in the morning - clothes on, bed made, teeth brushed, and hair combed. It works so it stuck! As for blogging about Ben dressed up as a kitten.... somehow I think he'd take off and hide (much like a cat!) if that came up! haha!

Ah, list making. If she only knew that it will become a necessity once she gets to be our age. Or, better yet, when she becomes a Mom! So adorable, that little smarty pants. :)

Well, I would say that Madelyn and Greyson have some pretty cool grandparents to give them sients kits. LOL! Love the blog and the comments. Aunt Lou is a pretty cool Great Aunt, too!
I love you,
Grandmomma
