"you, you push me"

Converstion had with Greyson today at the park:
Greyson: Me, me want to swing.
Me, the mom: No, it's "I want to swing"
Grey: You, you want to swing?
Me: uhhhh, no.... you say, "I want to swing."
Grey: I, I want to swing?
Me: (laugh) no, just one I - "I want to swing"
Grey: You want to swing? You, you want to swing?
Me: Grey, would you like to swing?
Grey: Yes, me, me want to swing.

We've been working with Greyson to start his sentences with "I"
instead of "me". But I don't know where the double I's, me's, and
you's came from... they just started today. It is funny though (at
least for today).

The word I was looking for this evening when we were skyping was "Fluent". When a child repeats words (a type of 'stutter'), it is a sign of nearing a breakthru in fluency with the language!! Ben had a noticeable 'stutter' just before he became fluent...in fact, I took him to the doctor for it, thinking there was something wrong. Doc said, Nope, we call this 'Break thru fluency'. Watch out....he talked non stop until he was 8 years old after that! LOL!! GREYSON: Grandmomma grandmomma loves loves you you.

That's adorable! He's already talking in complete sentences? He's already come so far since Petit Jean... I wish you guys lived closer! Keep sharing the stories. :)
