Greyson has been adamant about reading Sleeping Beauty (or as he says it, "Seeping Booty") at bedtime lately. Ben and I were both wondering about this new fascination... maybe he's been forced into dressing up by Madelyn too many times? maybe he associates the word "sleeping" with bedtime? Then Ben figured it out a couple of nights ago when he was reading it to him. Greyson isn't so interested in the princess or the good or evil fairies. He loves the battle between Prince Philip and the dragon. He especially loves the part where Prince Philip is wielding a sword (or "tord"). Now, I understand why his nerf sword has been such a favorite lately! Our boy is ALL boy...

"tord"! Love it! :-)
From Aunt Lou - Hey Mel, I was a little shocked when I read the title of your post and hoped that no one in your household had regressed in their potty training!!!! I love the pronunciations you share from Greyson's vocabulary. I am reminded of Nathan Smith at about age 3 when he would stay with us and was also fascinated with Sleeping Beauty. Catherine had very long hair then and he would make her lie on the couch, carefully arrange her hair to spill down the outside edge of the couch and then reenact the kiss. (Over and over!! !) He had a lisp and pronounced it something like Shleeping Booty. One night at the dinner table, he very plainly and specifically said these words, "Uncle John , I'm going to marry your daughter." No kidding!! Those were his exact words. We wondered where he'd heard that since he was only 3.
